Mg Follow through its Road Map: Introducing New MG3 – Colourful Fun As B-Segment Hatchback Offensive Targeting Gen Y
Bangkok – 17th March 2015, SAIC Motor- CP the manufacturer and MG Sales (Thailand) the distributor of MG, the iconic British car brand, launches the All New MG3 subcompact Hatchback and Xross in Thailand as the marketing offensive in the B-segment or Subcompact car class under the concept of Fun and versatility for Gen Y.
The MG3 is designed and engineered under the concept of Brit Dynamic to offer a new benchmark in driving experience hence the Hello Fun theme. More than 360 engineers and designers contributed to the design, research and development of the MG3 at the MG Global Design Centre in Birmingham, UK.

The new MG3 offer 2-tone paint option for customers who seek new unique identities: Tudor Yellow – Black Top, Regal Red – White Top and Thames Blue – White Top. Furthermore, MG3 also offer customers extensive personalization with 5 different roof wraps: Scottish Kilt, Brit pop, MOD, Union Jack and London Tube. Even the side mirrors have 4 different cover options to choose from.
On the other hand, the MG3 Xross with its more macho looks feature sport bumpers front and rear, side garnish and roof rails to offer unmatched fun, versatility and usability in the urban.
The all new MG3 also feature 2 firsts in the B-segment subcompact class: electric sunroof open up to more fun and LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) (D and X trims) for enhanced driving safety and aesthetics.
MG3 is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder DOHC VTi-TECH 16-valves featuring twin variable valve timing producing a healthy 106 PS(Horsepower) at 6,000 rpm and 135 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. This is coupled to an efficient and compact 5-speed SeleMatic transmission with sporty manual gear selection. The all new MG is capable of using the E85 gasohol as more ecologically sound alternative fuel.
The new MG3 is packed with a ton of safety features, many of which are class leading, such as Curve Brake Control (CBC), HillStart Assist System (HAS ), Electronic Brake -Force Distribution (EBD), Traction Control System (TCS), Motor Control Slide Retainer (MSR), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Ultimate Stiffness Design (USD) body structure, Anti–Lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist (BA).

Prices for the MG3 Hatchback: entry level 1.5 C starts at 479,000 baht, 1.5 D for good value starts at 509,000 baht and top of the line 1.5 X with Sunroof at 559,000 baht.
For the Xross, the top of the line 1.5 X Sunroof is priced at 595,000 Baht.
