2023 Range Rover Sport

Just like the range-topping Range Rover, the 2023 Range Rover Sport has also received a full redesign. The new generation comes after a full decade, so the changes are numerous. The new generation looks nicer and brings a completely new cabin design. Furthermore, there is a completely new engine lineup, which includes inline-six, V8 and plug-in hybrid options. Furthermore, the all-electric version is expected sometime in 2024.

Despite the significant changes, the new generation sticks to its roots. The overall design philosophy is still the same and the Range Rover Sport acts like a smaller but more dynamic iteration of the full-size sibling. The new model does what it does best – it puts refinement and off-road ruggedness together, which is something no one does better than the British manufacturer.

The 2023 Range Rover Sport is already available on most markets, with a starting price of around 84.500 dollars.

2023 Range Rover Sport Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Range Rover Sport comes completely redesigned, after a full decade. Despite that the styling changes feel evolutionary, things are completely new under the skin. The new model is based on the new MLA-Flex architecture, which brings loads of new technologies, new powertrain options, new driver-assistance systems and more. The ride quality has been improved even more, thanks to the new standard air suspension, which besides great comfort also offers you the ability to raise from the ground more than 11 inches. Of course, there are many other off-road goodies, starting from the advanced 4WD system with various traction modes, low-range gearing and more.

Naturally, the new generation brings new styling. It looks sleeker and more elegant than before. We could say it follows the path of the new Range Rover and features largely the same aesthetics, though in a little bit smaller package.

Interior

This redesign also brings a completely new cabin design, which looks way more upscale than before. Once again, a lot of inspiration has been taken from the range-topping Range Rover, so the dashboard combines elegant and conventional aesthetics with super-fine materials and a lot of attention to detail. Furthermore, the new infotainment and instrument cluster screens are massive and nicely designed and make this cabin look even more upscale.

2023 Range Rover Sport Interior

Compared to the previous generation, the new model features nearly three inches more in wheelbase, which certainly reflects in the passenger room. Once again, base models come with two rows of seats, while the third row is optional. The big difference is that the third row is now more spacious and more functional.

2023 Range Rover Sport Engines

The new generation came with new engine options and the 2023 Range Rover Sport is currently available in four variants. Base models come with a 3.0-liter inline-six, which comes with a mild-hybrid system and delivers around 355 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The same engine is available in a more powerful variant, with a max output of 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.

The new model is also available with a plug-in hybrid setup. That model features a setup that includes an inline-six engine and a pretty capable 105-kW electric motor. The combined output goes around 434 horsepower and 619 pound-feet of torque. Also, the system includes a 31.8-kWh battery pack, which provides around 48 miles of the all-electric range, according to the manufacturer.

Finally, there is the 4.4-liter V8, which features a max output of 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.

All models are equipped with a super-smooth 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
