A few years ago, Kia Telluride debuted in a highly demanding market and it has already established a position as one of the most impressive models in the class. Not many mid-size family SUVs can offer what Kia does and the Korean manufacturer probably wants to retain that position. That’s why various reports suggest a mid-cycle refresh for the 2023 Kia Telluride. This model will represent the fourth production year of the generation, so such an update makes perfect sense. At this point, we are still waiting for the official confirmation.
We presume that the focus of this update will be aesthetics. The current model looks good but updates are always welcome. We a pretty sure that these changes would rather be subtle. On the inside, we don’t believe the next year could bring too much, though there’s always a chance to see novelties in terms of standard features as we did in the 2022 model. Finally, updates under the hood are always possible, especially if we consider the ongoing electrification in the automotive world.
The 2023 Kia Telluride should arrive sometime in the second half of the next year.

2023 Kia Telluride Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Kia Telluride could receive a mid-cycle update. If this happens, we presume we would see a typical facelift, with a focus on aesthetics. The 2022 model came with the new badge, while the next year’s version would probably come with a couple of changes at the front end. Some of the things that come to mind are new headlights, new grille, bumper etc. The rest of the body would probably remain the same, though there’s always room for things like new color options, new wheels, color options, visual packages etc.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle shouldn’t change. This includes the suspension setup as well, which currently offers a pretty comfortable and relaxed ride, in a combination with relatively precise steering and good overall handling.
Interior
We don’t expect to see significant changes on the inside. The 2022 model has brought a new infotainment screen, while the 2023 Kia Telluride should carry on with the same dashboard design. On the other hand, we could see some tweaks on the center console, including a new gear shifter. Of course, typical updates like new interior color schemes and materials are always possible.

The overall cabin layout will certainly remain the same. We are about to see the same spacious cabin, which offers three generous rows of seats. The first two are massive and comfortable, while the third row can be useful as well. The cargo area also offers respectable numbers. You may count on about 21 cubic feet of space behind the third-row seats, 46 cubic feet behind the second and 87 cubic feet of the total volume, which is above average for the segment.
Features
Novelties in this aspect are always expected but you should keep in mind that the current model already stands pretty well in this aspect. It comes standard with goodies like a 10.25-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, navigation, Bluetooth, voice recognition, a six-speaker stereo, six USB ports, keyless entry, remote start, dual-zone climate control etc. Additionally, you can get goodies like wireless device charging, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, a rear-seat entertainment system, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo, and an additional USB port, as well as a household-style power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, 64-color ambient interior lighting, a sunroof, and a dual-pane sunroof.
When it comes to safety features, the current model comes standard with forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, adaptive cruise control and many more.
2023 Kia Telluride Engine
Standard models will continue in the same way. You may count on a familiar 3.8-liter V6 engine, which puts out 291 horsepower and offers pretty good driving dynamics. The engine is smooth and refined, with enough power to satisfy most drivers. We also like the 8-speed automatic transmission that comes in pair, which is smooth and easy on shifts. The average fuel economy goes around 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is quite typical for the class.
For this update, one of the possible novelties is a hybrid version. We don’t know what kind but some form of electrification is possible. The officials are still quiet on this matter.

2023 Kia Telluride Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Kia Telluride will hit the market in the second half of 2022, with a starting price of around 33.000 dollars. Some of the key competitors are models like Honda Pilot, Chevy Traverse, Toyota Highlander etc.
