2023 Hyundai Santa Fe

In the world of two-row mid-size crossovers, the Santa Fe represents a rational choice, a vehicle that offers a lot of quality for the price. Therefore, it’s no wonder that sales numbers are pretty good, despite the fierce competition. The current generation has been around since 2019 but it was refreshed quickly after, for the 2021 model year. That’s why we are pretty sure that the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe will come without more important updates. We expect to see a familiar design, with familiar specs and features.
In other words, we are about to see an SUV that’s affordable but features a luxurious and well-equipped cabin. We also like the wide powertrain offer, which includes two hybrid versions as well. The optional turbo-four offers excellent performance. On the other hand, the main complaint goes to the ride quality, which is on the firm side.

Considering that no bigger changes are about to come, we presume that the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Design

As we already mentioned, the current generation of Santa Fe has been around since 2019, so we could say it’s still a pretty fresh vehicle, especially if we consider the 2021 update. That update brought a lot of new things, starting from the new front-end styling and new interior design. So, it’s not hard to realize that the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe will come without more important updates. We count on the same styling, though there is always room for minor updates, such as new color options.

The mechanical aspect of the vehicle will certainly remain the same. This also includes the suspension setup, which is on the firm side. That may be an issue for most drivers, but many will be happy to see that this SUV reacts pretty well in corners.

Interior

The same thing goes for the interior layout. This crossover received a significant cabin upgrade two years ago and the current interior design looks pretty impressive in all aspects. First of all, the build quality is excellent, while we also like the selection of materials, which are mostly fine and soft to the touch. Also, there is a full amount of tech features, which make this cabin look even nicer.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Interior

Besides great quality, this interior also offers a lot of comfort. The front seats are massive and supportive, while it’s pretty easy to find a good driving position. The rear seats are also spacious and accommodate adults with ease.

When it comes to the cargo volume, this SUV offers around 36.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats and 72.1 cubic feet with these seats folded, which is about average for the segment.

Features

We don’t believe that the next year’s model could bring more important novelties in terms of standard and available features. So, base models should come standard with goodies like keyless entry, an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and four USB ports. The list of optional features should include things like dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touch screen (requires a wired connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, navigation, HD Radio, wireless device charging, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo.

The same thing is with safety features. So, all models should come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, driver drowsiness monitoring etc.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Engines

We count on four familiar powertrain options to be offered for the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. The offer should start with the 2.5-liter inline-four engine, which puts out around 191 horsepower. While that’s enough for daily commuting, more ambitious driers will probably prefer the optional turbo-four, which puts out around 280 horsepower and offers significantly better driving dynamics.

Also, there are two hybrid powertrains on offer. The first one is a classic hybrid, based on a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, with a total output of 226 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid is available too. It is also based on the 1.6-liter turbo-four, but it features a more powerful electric motor, so the max output goes up to 261 horsepower. Also, this version offers 33 miles of the all-electric range. Both hybrid s offer around 33 mpg combined.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year, with a starting price of around 29.000 dollars. The hybrid should start at around 34.000 dollars. Key competitors are models like Chevy Blazer, Ford Edge etc.
