After the recent redesign of the company’s bestseller, the X5, it is 2020 BMW X6’s turn to come with a completely new redesign. The world’s first coupe-like crossover has been around for more than a decade. So far, we have seen two generations of it and the third one is on its way. The testing model has been spotted and 2020 BMW X6 spy photos definitely have a lot of things to show. The new model will get a completely new, more muscular styling, but it will also grow for a bit. Also, count on a completely new interior design, as well as some new powertrain options. Latest reports suggest that the new 2020 BMW X6 will be ready to hit the market in the second half of next year.

2020 BMW X6 Redesign
Just like for its odd-numbered sibling, the 2020 BMW X6 redesign will also come earlier than most of us would expect. The reason is quite simple. Bavarian carmaker wants to adapt its complete lineup to the new CLAR platform in shortest possible time. The new architecture brings some completely new design solutions and we have no doubt that the new model will benefit in many ways. In terms of 2020 BMW X6 specs, one of the first things that come to mind is weight reduction. The new model will be lighter, which also means more athletic and more efficient. It will even get bigger, at least when it comes to the wheelbase, which will be for about two inches longer. On the other side, details about the overall size are still unknown.

2020 BMW X6 Styling
Like every other redesign, this one will also bring lots of changes in terms of aesthetics. However, don’t count on anything radical. This manufacturer is known for subtle changes. We are about to so a similar sort of upgrades as we saw recently in the new BMW X5. This means a new front end, full of subtle changes. The famous kidney-grille design philosophy continues its evolution. It will get bigger and sharper. Same goes for headlights and other parts at front. The rear end will continue with a familiar sloping roof shape but should get a completely new treatment.
2020 BMW X6 Interior
The 2020 BMW X6 redesign will also bring lots of novelties on the inside. Of course, we count on the same dashboard design that characterizes the new X5. BMW has never been known for some spectacular level of luxury. It is primarily a sports car, though the interior quality is on a pretty high level. The new 2020 BMW X6 will continue in the same way. It will keep the recognizable driver-oriented approach, this time with even finer materials and lots of new technologies. Among them, you will find lots of gadgetry, including a new 12.3-inch touchscreen and a new 5-inch LCD screen on the instrument cluster. In terms of the interior space, once again don’t count on too much practicality. Still, a longer wheelbase should solve potential issues with headroom in the second row. Interestingly, some reports suggest a smaller cargo volume compared to the outgoing model.

2020 BMW X6 Engines
Mechanically, the 2020 BMW X6 will be pretty much identical to the X5. Therefore, count on same engines in the offer. Base models will feature a familiar 3.0-liter inline-six unit, which delivers around 340 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque.
Of course, a familiar 4.4-liter V8 will come as well. This one delivers around 460 horses and 480 pound-feet of torque. Both models will come with the same 8-speed automatic transmission.
Finally, a plug-in hybrid version will come in the near future. So far, we know it will be based on a bigger six-cylinder engine and that will also feature a longer all-electric range.
2020 BMW X6 M
Along with the standard model, the Bavarian carmaker will launch the 2020 BMW X6 M as well. This will be a hi-performance version of the crossover. So, count on lots of upgrades. With this company, this primarily means a lot of work on mechanics. Therefore, this version will come with an upgraded suspension package, new brakes and much more. Of course, there will be a fine amount of visual upgrades as well, in terms of new bumpers, side skirts, “M” badges and much more. A couple of visual upgrades are expected on the inside as well.
Still, the most interesting part of the new 2020 BMW X6 M will be under the hood. Count on the newest version of the upgraded 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, which makes around 600 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque.

2020 BMW X6 Release Date and Price
The next generation of the original coupe-like crossover should be ready to hit the market in the second half of next year. A hi-performance M version should come soon after. When it comes to the 2020 BMW X6 price, base models should go around 63-65.000 dollars. When it comes to the hi-performance model, the current generation goes around 105.000 dollars.
