2020 Lexus LX 570 Redesign, Engine, Specs

2020 lexus lx 570 review

It’s no secret that Toyota’s management and engineers are a bit slow when it comes to the SUV lineup. Latest reports suggest that the redesign of this full-size luxury SUV won’t come that soon, definitely not before 2021, if we can rely on our insiders. Therefore, we are pretty sure that the 2020 Lexus LX 570 will continue in the same way. A decade-old SUV has been updated a couple of times so far and it is pretty competitive, even these days when there is a bunch of younger competitors.

Still, the LX still has a lot of aces in its pocket, such as spectacular off-road capabilities, beautifully-crafted interior etc. On the other side, the biggest problem is the poor fuel economy, as well as a few more practical aspects of the vehicle. In any way, the 2020 Lexus LX 570 won’t come with bigger changes.

2020 Lexus LX 570 Redesign

The 2020 Lexus LX 570 is a decade-old SUV. However, it definitely doesn’t show its age. A Land Cruiser-based SUV comes with the same mechanics. On the other side, it comes with a completely different styling, which is adapted to the Lexus’ current design language. The SUV looks attractive but has slightly weaker off-road performances, due to different bumper design which reduces the reach angle. However, this is still the most capable full-size SUV among premium manufacturers.

On the other side, the interior design of this SUV looks spectacular. Although one of the oldest models in the class, the LX features amazingly stylish cabin look, combined with amazing interior quality. On the other side, we could say that the weak point is a quite limited legroom in second and third rows, considering the vehicle’s size. The cargo area is also pretty tight.

2020 Lexus LX 570 Equipment

When it comes to 2020 Lexus LX 570 configurations, you can choose either two- or three-row versions. In both cases, you can count on a single, fully-loaded trim with a spectacular list of standard equipment. Some of the standard features are things like LED lighting, tow hitch, automatic wipers, windshield wiper de-icers, running boards, power tailgate etc. On the inside, you get things like leather upholstery, sunroof, 4-zone climate control, heated, ventilated and power-adjustable seats, driver memory settings etc. In terms of tech features, things like 12.3-inch display, navigation, 9-speaker audio system, Bluetooth and USB are all part of the standard equipment.
There is also a bunch of options, like head-up display, wireless charger, 19-speaker audio system, coolbox under the armrest, rear-seat entertainment system, bigger 21-inch wheels and much more.

2020 Lexus LX 570 Engine

Giving the size of this SUV, it is easy to presume that there is a large V8 under the hood. It is a Toyota’s familiar 5.7-liter unit, which is good for about 380 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Such amount is more than enough to provide quite solid acceleration numbers. This huge SUV needs around 7.5 seconds to get to 60 mph. Also, the ride is pretty smooth, thanks to a well-designed 8-speed automatic transmission and advanced 4×4 system. On the other side, fuel economy is definitely the weakest point of this SUV. It is definitely the thirstiest model in the class. An average fuel consumption goes around 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.

2020 Lexus LX 570 Release Date and Price

It seems pretty clear that a redesign is still far away. Therefore, the 2020 Lexus LX 570 is coming without more important changes. So, count for the last quarter of the next year, when it comes to the launch date. We also don’t expect changes in price. The current model goes around 85.600 dollars.

  1. The all new Lexus LX should be…
    1) user friendly technologies onboard (apple play, digital speedometer, inside ambient lighting, camera and 2-way voice to communicate w/ kiddos from 3rd row, would be nice gsve option in dadh cam and rear for safety feature)
    2) bigger wheel

Other than that I love Lexus and have been a big loyal customer since 1990.
