The 2020 Infiniti QX60 will continue to represent Nissan’s luxury division in the segment of premium mid-size crossover. Characterized by attractive styling and lots of tech features, this crossover is present on the market for about five years. Considering that we have already seen an update and that the 2019-year model is coming pretty much the same, a complete redesign probably won’t come so soon, definitely not in a couple of years. Therefore, we are pretty sure that the 2020 QX60 will come without more important changes. We are about to see a familiar design, Infiniti’s recognizable styling and lots of comfort and convenience. Expect to see it late in the next year.
2020 Infiniti QX60 Redesign
When it comes to base design characteristics, there is no place for changes at the moment. In terms of mechanics, this models hasn’t changed for this five years and definitely won’t until the redesign. In this aspect, we are talking about a crossover that is pretty much the same as the current-generation Pathfinder. The QX60 might be slightly longer, but two models feature the same wheelbase. They ride on the same D Platform, which guarantees a spacious cabin and solid driving characteristics.
When it comes to the styling, 2020 Infiniti QX60 will come in the brand’s familiar manner. A sleek profile in a combination with lots of smooth lines and design elements that characterize this crossover. Two years ago, we saw a facelift that has brought new front and rear fascias, along with new headlights, bumpers etc. Further changes for this generation don’t seem so likely.
Interior
The cabin is definitely a strong point of this crossover and we are pretty sure that bigger changes won’t come for the 2020 Infiniti QX60. The spacious cabin makes a great combination with lots of standard equipment. The first thing you’ll notice is a decent materials quality and a spacious cargo area. When it comes to equipment, there are two trim levels – Pure and Luxe. The base Pure comes with standard features like 18-inch wheels, power tailgate, xenon headlights, sunroof, LED fog lights, keyless entry, and ignition etc. On the inside, you can count on heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, 8.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB, satellite radio etc.
The Luxe trim includes all above but also adds several interesting features. Some of the highlights are a premium audio system, remote engine start, roof rails, rear bumper protector, driver memory settings, a heated steering wheel etc. Also, a whole plethora of optional packages are available at this trim level.
Optional packages
There are seven optional packages in total for this luxury crossover. Those are Essential, Theater, ProAssist, Sensory, ProActive, Limited, and a 20-inch wheel and tire package. The most interesting is probably Essential, Pro Assist and Limited.
When it comes to the Essential package, it consists of things like a 360-degree parking camera, automatic wipers and rear parking sensors, illuminated kick panels, navigation etc.
As you would probably presume, the ProAssist is all about safety and driver aids. So, count on things like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist blind-spot intervention, front and rear parking sensors, backup collision mitigation, automatic high-beams and much more.
Finally, there is the 2020 Infiniti QX60 Limited. This package is all about the style. It comes with several visual upgrades, like black chrome grille, blacker rear fascia and roof rails, unique rims design etc. Similar kinds of upgrades come on the inside, where you can notice unique stone-colored leather seats, dark-silver wood accents, blacked headliner etc.
2020 Infiniti QX60 Engine and Specs
A powerful engine is definitely one of the model’s strongest points, so there are no real reasons for changes in this aspect for the 2020 Infiniti QX60. It will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine, which delivers around 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. It comes paired with a CVT gearbox, which sends power to front wheels, while all-wheel drive is available as an option. Besides plenty of power, the crossover also delivers pretty good mpg ratings. You can count on above-average numbers for the class, around 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. In AWD models, these numbers drop for about 1 mpg.
2020 Infiniti QX60 Competition
Competition in the segment is pretty tough. This segment is full of hi-quality crossovers, but also includes models with big differences in price. Therefore, we will mention models with similar price only. One of the 2020 Infiniti QX60 biggest rivals will be Acura MDX. Also, there are models like Lexus RX 350, Volvo XC90, Audi Q7 etc.
2020 Infiniti QX60 Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger changes to come, count on a 2020 Infiniti QX60 release date sometime in late 2019. Price should also remain pretty much the same. Base models should go around 44.000 dollars, while top-range versions will cost for about 4-5.000 dollars more.
