The QX60 is becoming the flagship model in the Infiniti family. The interest in mid-size three-row SUVs is growing, but the vehicle still needs a lot of improvements before it becomes the competitor to Lexus RX 350 and all its variations. First of all, we want to see the 2021 Infiniti QX60 redesign. The look of the SUV is aging and no changes are made for 2020 YM. So, there is a reason to believe that huge changes are on the way.
Another cause why we think so is the announcement that all crossovers and SUVs will be unchanged for the 2020 season. The company is focusing on 2021 and then we will see most of their vehicles as all-new models. Besides the cosmetic changes and technology update, the 2021 Infiniti QX60 could get a fresh engine. A V6 is reliable and powerful. But, to stay competitive, Infiniti is going to need a hybrid drivetrain.
Trim levels also need an upgrade. Currently, there are only two models available, but the company will definitely add another one. Still, there are optional packages and choices you can make to improve your ride.

New Generation
According to announcements, the new 2021 Infiniti QX60 will enter the second generation. Well, it is about time, since the SUV is still in its first series launched in 2013 as JX35. The speed of updates in the premium segment is pretty quick. Acura refreshed its MDX this year, Lexus is dominating on the market with the vehicle from 2015, and Lincoln has a new name and styling of its mid-size vehicle.
There are no details about the upcoming SUV yet, but the company promised a lot of changes in the lineup. Spy photos are not available yet, but we can find the inspiration in Monograph and QX Inspiration concepts. The other one is somehow futuristic and it could be one of the electric models. On the other hand, Monograph is the platform for the large SUV, QX80. It is also going to suffer big changes for the 2021 season.
2021 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid
This should be a priority for Infiniti. All its main rivals are already out with hybrid units. The QX60 is already behind the competition and the new season without another powerplant option would be a disaster. However, Nissan, as the parent company, has the best-selling all-electric model ever, LEAF. But, it is only because they launched it first.
However, both Nissan and Infiniti are losing pace. For example, the main rivals to the QX60 are already hybrids. But, the big changes are on the way and the company made it no secret – they will build such drivetrains. It is hard to believe the full-size QX80 is getting one, but the mid-size vehicle is likely to be electrified. Still, we don’t know what will power the SUV. A configuration based on the existing engine is possible. The boost will make the QX60 produce over 300 hp, while the fuel economy is also getting a huge enhancement. More about the 2021 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid will be known later in 2020.

QX55 – the Coupe Version
Recently, the company also teased their fans with the image of a coupe crossover SUV. We hear the new model is going to arrive pretty soon. The QX55 will be positioned between QX50 and QX60. Well, the coupe SUV is a nice addition to the lineup and it could unveil the path of development for its siblings. But, besides the teaser images, we don’t know further details about the vehicle. The sloping roof is definitely shredding some space in the back. Definitely, this model is not going to offer three rows of seats.
2021 Infiniti QX60 Interior
Engine room, exterior… well, the QX60 is all-new and we can’t wait to see how it will look like inside the cabin. Definitely, designers will have a lot of work. Not only that layout will take serious changes, but also the infotainment system. The QX60 is already offering advanced systems, but the Japanese carmaker is ready to take the offer to the next level. Autonomous drive Level 4 is a possible upgrade. Still, this technology seems to be far-fetched at the moment, although few other companies also announced a similar upgrade. Infiniti will develop the new generation of the InTouch infotainment system and it will be part of the 2021 QX60.

Trim Levels and Prices
The next-gen SUV will increase the price. Currently, this model is one of the most affordable in the market. The starting cost could reach $50,000 in 2021. Two trim levels are currently available for the vehicle – Pure and Luxe. The company is going to add more, that is for sure, especially if the hybrid model lands next season. Limited trim is likely, but there are also a few other options for the 2021 Infiniti QX60.
