The Navigator has been a synonym for luxury for years. The current generation is still very fresh. The 2020 Lincoln Navigator will represent the third year of the current fourth-generation model, which was introduced a year ago. Therefore, we don’t expect to see any bigger change. The upcoming model will continue in a familiar way, featuring the same styling and overall design. The biggest changes we could see are in terms of standard equipment. Still, the base trim level organization will probably remain the same and each version should come with a couple of novelties. Other than that, you can count on the practically same SUV.
2020 Lincoln Navigator Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator will continue with its familiar layout. As you may presume, this full-size SUV shares a lot of things with the Ford Expedition. Two models share the platform and complete mechanics and they are heavily based on the legendary F-150 truck. In terms of the styling, this model sticks closely to the concept version. Of course, you won’t find those gullwing doors, but rest of the vehicle looks largely the same. Naturally, the biggest departure from the previous generation is at front. The funny grille design from the previous models has been replaced with new, more conventional and super-massive, which perfectly fits this nameplate, especially in a combination with new, prominent headlights.
Rest of the SUV keeps the similar shape, though we must say that the new model is much sleeker and definitely abandoned sharp edges and angular philosophy. The next year definitely won’t bring bigger changes, though we could possibly see a few more color options in the offer.
2020 Lincoln Navigator Interior
On the inside, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator will also continue in the same way. We are about to see the same cabin, which comes with lots of goods. The first thing you’ll notice once you step inside this SUV is a great amount of style and luxury. Pretty much all areas of the cabin are made of top-notch materials, including amazing seat quality and pretty stylish dashboard. Besides amazing quality, this cabin is also very practical. It comes with three rows of seating and max capacity for 8 passengers.
Of course, if you choose higher trims, with second-row captain’s chairs, the capacity reduces to 7. First two rows offer an amazing level of comfort, with plenty of legroom. Even the third row is pretty good in this aspect. When it comes to cargo space, the Navigator is among leaders in the class. You can count on 19.3 cubic feet behind the third row, and 64 behind the second row. The overall capacity goes over 100 cubic feet.
Trim Levels
The trim level organization will also remain the same. There are four versions in the offer – base, Select, Reserve, and Black Label. Still, count on a couple of fine novelties for each version.
In the current model, the base version already comes with a pretty long list of standard equipment. There are things like LED headlights, 20-inch wheels, power liftgate etc. On the inside, you can count on tri-zone automatic climate control, 10-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, 14-speaker audio system etc.
The Select adds adaptive suspension, bigger 22-inch wheels, upgraded leather upholstery, wireless charging, heated steering wheel etc.
The Reserve trim includes all above and also adds things like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, as well as a whole batch of safety systems. Some of the highlights are adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, a head-up display, lane keeping assist, automatic high beams etc.
Finally, the top-range Black Label comes with lots of visual upgrades on the outside, as well as with things like a premium 20-speaker audio system, upgraded seats and much more.
2020 Lincoln Navigator Engine

2020 Lincoln Navigator Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger changes planned, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator should arrive late in the next year. Base models will go around 73.000 dollars. On the other side, top-range models could go all away up to 100.000 dollars. Competition in the segment is tough. Of course, the Escalade is the biggest rival. Still, there are also models like Toyota Land Cruiser, Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS etc.
