Everything looks really luxurious and elegant, while the long list of standard and available equipment makes everything feel even more opulent.
On the other side, one of the biggest drawbacks of this model is the amount of space. Despite the wheelbase and length, the third row isn’t particularly spacious. Moreover, it is pretty tight for the class. On the other side, the first and second-row seats are pretty spacious and comfortable.
The cargo area is also pretty small for the segment. You may count on about 14.4 cubic feet behind the third row, 38.2 behind the second and 71.2 behind the first row. Those are some of the lowest ratings in the class.

Since bigger changes probably won’t come, we presume that the 2022 Mazda CX-9 will hit the market in a typical time of a year, sometime in the last quarter of 2021.
