However, the current generation is still competitive and even looks quite fresh, thanks to the updates we’ve seen in the last couple of years. Considering all these updates, we presume that the current generation is about to remain in production for another few years. When it comes to the things we like, the interior design comes to mind first, as it features excellent build quality and also comes with loads of tech features. 2023 Audi Q5 Design
The overall design will remain the same, but keep in mind the updates we’ve seen in the last few years. The cargo area is definitely one of the weak points. You may count on about 25.8 cubic feet behind the second row and 54 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s below-average for the segment.
Features
Yearly updates usually bring a few additions to the list of standard features, so the 2023 Audi Q5 might come with some of them too. However, most of the things are about to remain the same. So, base models should come standard with goodies like a 10.1-inch touch screen, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, two USB ports, HD Radio, a 10-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, tri-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, a universal garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. When it comes to upgrades, the current model offers satellite radio, navigation, premium audio system, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry and Audi’s well-known 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
When it comes to safety, all models should come standard with a rearview camera, parking sensors, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning etc.
2023 Audi Q5 Engines
Things under the hood definitely won’t change. So, base versions will continue with a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 261 horsepower. It comes in pair with a dual-clutch transmission, while the AWD system is also part of the standard equipment. The power delivery is really good and we are pretty sure that the base engine would be the best choice for most drivers. Still, keep in mind that the average fuel economy goes around 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is below average for the segment.
For those who are looking for something peppier, there is a 3.0-liter V6, which puts around 350 horsepower. Finally, there is a plug-in hybrid version, based on turbo-four, with a max output of 362 horsepower. The battery has just been upgraded and now features a 17.9-kWh capacity, which is enough to ensure 23 miles of the all-electric range.
