The Ingolstadt carmaker expands its all-electric lineup pretty quickly and another all-new model is on the way. It will come in the form of the 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron and we expect to see it on the market by the end of 2021. At this point, we already know how it looks like and that it will be similarly sized to the gasoline-powered Q5. Price-wise, it will be slotted between the entry-level Q3 and compact Q5. Most parts will be shared with the VW ID.4.
Although the new model is yet to come, most of the details are already known. First of all, we know for sure that there will be two versions in the offer regarding performance. Furthermore, Audi will offer two body styles, while we also know the styling and interior look. We also know that the company will be quite generous with tech features, while the list of standard safety features will be long as well.
The 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron will hit the market by the end of 2021.

2022 Audi Q4 e-tron Redesign
The 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron is another all-new, all-electric model that is coming from Audi. As we’ve just mentioned, it will be a compact crossover, slotted between Q3 and Q5 models. However, it won’t have too many things in common with the aforementioned models. Instead, it will be heavily based on the VW ID.4. The two models will share the platform, as well as the drivetrain.
When it comes to styling, the 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron will follow the brand’s contemporary design language. It will share many aesthetical solutions with the bigger e-tron, especially at the front, where we expect to see the same face. Also, the new model will come in two body styles, either as a classic SUV or in the company’s familiar Sportback layout, which is Audi’s moniker for models with a sloping roof.
Interior
On the inside, the first thing that you’ll notice is the dashboard. It definitely shows a lot of Audi’s typical design solutions, but there are some unique details as well. One of the most prominent exclusive details is the squared-off steering wheel, which makes everything looks sportier. The steering wheel is also equipped with touch-sensitive controls. There is also a pretty interestingly designed toggle gear shifter. The rest of the cabin features good overall quality, with nice materials and a solid fit and finish.

In terms of passenger space, we expect that the 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron will be pretty similar to the Q5. This would mean two quite spacious rows of seats, both capable of accommodating adults with ease. On the other hand, the cargo area probably won’t be very generous, especially the Sportback variant.
Features
Besides good overall quality, the new crossover will also come packed with all kinds of tech goodies. The exact list of standard and available features is yet to come but from what we can see, a 10.3 digital instrument cluster will be standard, along with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. We also count on tech goodies like a head-up display with an augmented reality feature, smartphone integration, wireless charging and many more things.
The same thing is expected with safety features. We expect that all models will come standard with goodies like forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking. The list of standard safety features should also include goodies like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. On the other hand, some sources that semi-autonomous driving will be offered as an option.

This model will be called the Q4 e-tron 40. On the other hand, the Q4 e-tron 50 will come with the additional electric motor at the front. The total output will go around 300 horsepower, which will provide 0-60 sprint in about 6.2 seconds.
Both versions will come with a 77-kWh battery pack, which will ensure up to 250 miles on a single charge. Fast charging options will be included as well, which will allow 80% of the battery to be charged in just 30 minutes.
