2022 Ford F-150 Diesel Preview: Release date, Price and Features

The legendary pickup has been redesigned recently. We saw many new things, but many things carried on as well. One of them is a diesel version, equipped with a familiar V6 Power Stroke unit. Even though the Blue Oval company released a hybrid version, the diesel remained in the offer and will for a few more years. The 2022 Ford F-150 Diesel seems like a certain thing.

The next year’s model won’t bring any particular change. Simply, the recent redesign has brought a new generation of the truck and it would be irrational to expect bigger changes for the second production year. Instead, we are about to see a familiar layout, with a decent diesel engine that provides a good balance between power and efficiency. 2022 Ford F-150 Diesel Engine

This engine features a max output of 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

This engine returns around 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Some reports even suggest 30 mpg on the highway, which is really impressive for a half-ton pickup.

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2022 Ford F-150 Diesel will represent the second production year of the current generation and that’s why we don’t expect to see any changes regarding overall design. You may count on the same layout from the last year, which has brought mostly evolutionary changes, both in terms of mechanics and aesthetics.

The same thing goes for interior design, which brings notable improvements over the previous generation. The dashboard looks more modern and it’s equipped with more tech features. Also, the materials are nicer, especially in more expensive versions.

Trim Levels

This aspect shouldn’t bring bigger changes. The 2022 Ford F-150 Diesel will be available in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trim levels.
