The 2022 model is about to receive a facelift, which leads us to the conclusion that the 2023 Ford Expedition will come without more important changes.
So, you may count on an updated design of this SUV, which will include fresher styling, new interior features, and probably new powertrain options. Other values will remain the same. You may count on a spacious and functional SUV, which is comfortable and practical for a wide range of drivers. We also like its long list of standard equipment, which includes a lot of safety features as well.
When it comes to the 2023 Ford Expedition release date, we don’t believe it will come before the second half of 2022.
2023 Ford Expedition Design
The current generation has been around for some time but still has a lot of things to show. So, it’s no wonder that the next year’s model is coming with updates. The 2023 Ford Expedition will continue with all of them and the current generation should remain active for a few more years.
When it comes to the styling, the 2023 Ford Expedition will look largely the same as the upcoming 2022 model, which is about to come with a lot of novelties. We are about to see a new front face, with new headlights, a new grille, bumper, etc. The rear end will include novelties as well, while new wheels and color seem natural too.
Of course, you may count on the stretched, Ford Expedition Max, version too. This model features a longer wheelbase and offers even more space on the inside.
Interior
The upcoming update probably won’t bring too many changes to the inside, so we know what to expect from the 2023 Ford Expedition in this aspect. Still, a few novelties are expected, particularly in terms of the new infotainment system. According to the latest reports, the new version will probably feature a huge vertically-oriented infotainment screen, designed in a similar fashion as the one found in the new Mach-E.

Features
As we’ve just mentioned, we expect to see a new, much bigger touchscreen in the near future. However, base models will probably come with something smaller. Furthermore, we might see a new, digital instrument screen, while some of the current options may become standard.
For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, an 8-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hot spot, four USB ports, a six-speaker stereo, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. On the list of options, you can currently find things like a panoramic roof, an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless device charging, navigation, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo, HD Radio, satellite radio, two more USB ports, and a rear-seat entertainment system with two screens.
2023 Ford Expedition Engine
When it comes to the powertrain, base models will continue in the same way. You may count on a familiar 3.5-liter twin-turbo, which comes in two output versions. Base variants are good for about 375 horsepower, while higher trim levels offer a max output of 400 horsepower. In both cases, you may count on a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission.
We also expect to see a hybrid version in the near future. From what we know so far, the system will be the same as the one found in the new F-150. This means a setup based on a V6 engine, with an electric motor and CVT transmission. The total output should go around 430 horsepower, while the fuel economy should go around 25 mpg combined.
2023 Ford Expedition Release Date and Price
We presume that the 2023 Ford Expedition will hit the market sometime in the second half of the next year. Base models should go around 51.000 dollars.
