In Ford’s lineup, the world of hard-working machines starts with the F-250. The entry-level Super Duty pickup offers a fine balance between comfort and utility and it is the first choice for many truck buyers. The current generation has been around for a while and it’s time for updates. Therefore, the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty is coming with a couple of interesting novelties, both outside and on the inside.
When it comes to exterior changes, the next year’s model will offer a new visual package, as well as a new color option. On the other hand, interior changes will include new color schemes and, more importantly, a new touchscreen with the updated infotainment system.
On the other hand, the overall layout will remain largely unchanged. You may count on a familiar design, which offers a great balance between convenience and working capabilities, something that most rivals don’t offer.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, base design characteristics will remain the same. We are about to see a familiar layout, based on the current generation, which has been around for a while. The mechanics will remain the same while on the other side, we are about to see a couple of styling updates.
One of them will be a new color option called Atlas Blue. Also, the Blue Oval company has prepared a new appearance package called Lariat Sport Package. This version will bring Lariat’s appearance to lower-grade models and it will be characterized by a couple of pretty interesting details. Some of them are color-matched grille, bumpers, and exterior mirrors, as well as black running boards and chrome exhaust tips.
The rest of the lineup is about to continue in a familiar way, without any more notable styling update.
Interior
When it comes to interior design, the new touchscreen is by far the biggest update. We are talking about a massive 12-inch unit, which will rival Ram’s same-sized screen. However, this one will be horizontally-oriented. Of course, this screen will be available in higher trim levels. The most basic XL model will continue with a small 4.2-inch TFT screen, while XLT will come with a familiar 8-inch unit.
Along with the new screen, Ford will also introduce an updated version of the infotainment system, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, there are few more color schemes. One of them is called and it will be available in the Lariat trim. On the other hand, Navy Pier and Light Slate will be offered in the range-topping Limited model.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Engines
Surprises under the hood are not coming. The 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will continue with three familiar engine options in the offer, starting from a good-old 6.2-liter V8, which features a max output of 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Of course, there is also a new 7.3-liter V8, which puts out 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque.
Finally, there is the well-known 6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel, which puts out 475 horsepower and 1.050 pound-feet of torque. When it comes to transmission, the base engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the other two use a newer 10-speed unit.
Trim Levels
The trim level organization will remain the same. Therefore, base models will continue with the XL badge, with a pretty basic list of standard equipment that includes a small 4.2-inch screen, steel wheels and manual door locks and windows. The XLT will bring a couple of upgrades, such as a touchscreen, alloy wheels etc.
The Lariat trim will continue as a perfectly balanced version with lots of standard equipment at an affordable price. On the other hand, the Kind Ranch will continue with its unique styling details. Finally, Platinum and Limited will continue as the most luxurious versions of the F-250.

Safety
Although we are talking about a working machine, the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will come with a lot of standards and available driver assistance features. Things like automatic emergency braking come already with the XLT model, while the lane departure warning is standard in the Lariat trim. Furthermore, you can also get more advanced systems like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a 360-degree camera system, and blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage.
