The iconic SUV has been around for decades and despite several redesigns, it hasn’t changed its character at all. We are still talking about a genuine off-road SUV, which is a pretty rare bird in today’s world dominated by crossover. The current generation has been around for a while but we don’t believe that many things could change before the full redesign, which won’t happen in the next several years. This means that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will be a typical carryover model, which could bring minor tweaks only.
So, you may count on an SUV with familiar design characteristics. Traditionally, excellent off-road capability has always been the Wranger’s strongest point. We also like things like a broad range of powertrain options, lots of customization options, intuitive infotainment systems etc. On the other hand, the biggest complaint goes to the on-road ride quality, which feels pretty inferior if we compare Wrangler with modern crossovers.
As there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the current generation has been around for a while but we don’t expect that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler could bring any notable changes. The overall design will certainly remain the same, whether it’s about mechanics or aesthetics. Just like the current model, it will come in two body styles, either as a 2-door or as a 4-door SUV.
Off-road performance has always been Wrangler’s strongest point. Besides high ground clearance and excellent approach and departure angles, this SUV also comes with lots of off-road hardware. All models come standard with four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case, solid front and rear axles, 17-inch wheels, all-season tires, skid plates, tow hooks. Additionally, you can get upgrades like heavy-duty Fox shock absorbers, locking front and rear differentials, 33-inch all-terrain tires etc.
Interior
The same thing goes for interior design. Although we are talking about an SUV that’s primarily an off-road vehicle, it comes with a pretty modern-looking interior. The cabin looks attractive and also utilizes some pretty nice materials, which are both fine and durable. Moreover, the dashboard is water-resistant too.

Just like we’ve mentioned, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will continue with two familiar body styles on the offer. One of them will be the two-door model, which is known as the Wrangler Sport. Considering that this model features a very short wheelbase, there isn’t much passenger room in the second row, while the cargo area isn’t particularly generous either. It offers around 12.9 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and 31.7 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.
The four-door model, known as the Wrangler Unlimited, offers way more passenger space in the second row and accommodates adults with ease. The cargo area also offers pretty respectable numbers. You may count on about 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats and 72.4 cubic feet of the total volume.
Features
Novelties on the list of standard equipment will probably come here and there but most of the things will remain the same. Base models will remain pretty basic, with things like manual windows and door locks, as well as with a 5-inch touch screen, an eight-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, and two USB ports.
Of course, there will be much more in higher trim levels, where you will be able to get upgrades like a 7-inch or an 8.4-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, HD Radio, satellite radio, a nine-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a 120-volt household-style power outlet, and extra USB ports, air conditioning, automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, proximity keyless entry, and remote start.
2023 Jeep Wrangler Engines
The engine lineup will certainly remain the same. So, base models will continue with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which puts out around 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. While this engine offers pretty decent performance, we would rather opt for a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which offers better driving dynamics because of more torque. This engine is rated at 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
The diesel version will continue with a 3.0-liter V6, which puts out around 260 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. Also, there is the recently introduced version with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8, which puts out around 470 horsepower. Finally, there is a plug-in hybrid version, based on a turbo-four engine, with a max output of 375 horsepower.
All engines come coupled with an excellent 8-speed ZF-sourced transmission, while the base V6 also comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. Base two-door models should go around 30.000 dollars, while four-door models will be around $3.500 more expensive. Key competitors are Ford Bronco and Toyota 4Runner.
