2023 Cadillac Escalade

The current generation of Cadillac’s flagship SUV debuted for the 2021 model year and Lincoln’s answer was pretty quickly. It came in the form of the updated 2022 Navigator so the ball is once again on GM’s part of the court. As it’s still early for a mid-cycle refresh, the company figured out a much better move – the performance version of the SUV, which should come as the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V.

The new model is still in the testing phase but we know for sure it’s coming for the next year. It will come with all kinds of upgrades, starting from a much more powerful engine. On the other hand, the rest of the lineup will continue in the same way. We are about to see a familiar design and features, though minor updates are always possible, especially in terms of new standard equipment.

In any case, we don’t believe that the 2023 Cadillac Escalade could come much earlier than usual. We presume it will hit the market sometime in the second half of the year.

2023 Cadillac Escalade Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade will definitely carry on in the same way. We are about to see a familiar layout, which was introduced with the 2021 model. That redesign brought a lot of interesting novelties, both in terms of styling and mechanics. So, we have no doubt that the next year will bring no notable changes.

On the other hand, the new Escalade-V will come with different upgrades. Besides the engine, we also believe that the suspension setup could bring some upgrades as well. The same goes for the brakes, while there is no doubt that the company will also bring a couple of exclusive styling details, in order to accentuate the model’s performance character.

Interior

Interior changes are not expected either. The 2023 Cadillac Escalade should carry on with the same cabin design, though the new performance model could bring a few upgrades. This particularly refers to things like exclusive color schemes and materials, while we wouldn’t be surprised to see things like sports seats and steering wheels as well.

In any case, the Escalade will continue to deliver one of the nicest cabins in the class. Highlighted by three prominent screens, the dashboard offers a fine combination of high quality and modern features, while the overall build quality is pretty impressive.

Of course, you may also count on the same amount of space, which is excellent for the class. All three rows are spacious enough to accommodate adults with ease, while the cargo area is a special story. You may count on about 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 72.9 cubic feet with the third-row seats folded down, and 121 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. You can’t get those numbers from any other full-size luxury SUV. If that’s not enough, you can also get a stretched version of the Escalade.

Features

This aspect should bring no bigger surprises. Most of the things should remain the same as in the current model, which already comes with a lot of standard equipment. It comes standard with goodies like a 7.2-inch digital control panel, a 14.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a 16.9-inch touch screen, navigation, a 19-speaker AKG Studio stereo, HD Radio, satellite radio, USB ports, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, tri-zone climate control and more.

Also, we count on a long list of available features, starting from a panoramic sunroof, a center console refrigerator, a 36-speaker premium audio system, a rear-seat entertainment system etc.

2023 Cadillac Escalade Engines

As we already mentioned, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade will bring a high-performance version and that model will feature way more power than the standard version. We have no doubt that this version will feature the famous LT4 engine, which is a supercharged version of the well-known 6.2-liter V8. This engine is already used in several GM modes, including the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. In that model, the engine puts out 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, so we may expect similar ratings in the Escalade as well.

The rest of the lineup should carry on in the same way. Therefore, standard models should continue with a 6.2-liter V8, which features a max output of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The Diesel version should also continue in the same way, with the

3.0-liter inline-six that puts out 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

All models will come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Cadillac Escalade Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Cadillac Escalade will hit the market in the second half of the year, with a starting price of around 78.000 dollars. Of course, the Lincoln Navigator will remain the key rival, while there are also models like Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7 etc.
