The 2023 Porsche Cayenne is about to get a mid-cycle refresh. Those are the latest reports we are getting about this performance mid-size crossover, which has been around since 2018 in the current form. So, this update seems perfectly timed and from what we know so far, it will include mostly visual updates. Still, we won’t exclude the possibility to see novelties on the inside as well, while power increase of certain powertrain options is always possible.
As you can see, the update is going to be quite comprehensive but we will focus on aesthetics for not, considering that this is the only transparent aspect of the new model. The test mule has been around for a while, and it shows quite interesting styling changes. Of course, these novelties will be implemented on both body styles, standard and coupe versions.
Considering the update, we presume that the 2023 Porsche Cayenne will arrive a little bit earlier than usual, but still within the second half of 2022.

2023 Porsche Cayenne Redesign
This is expected to be a typical mid-cycle update. So, the overall design should remain pretty much the same. This crossover rides on a familiar MLB platform and shares a lot of parts with mid-size SUVs like VW Touareg, Audi Q8, Lamborghini Urus etc. However, it also comes with lots of unique parts that have a highly positive impact on the ride quality, which is great no matter the version you pick.
On the other hand, we will see a lot of interesting novelties in terms of styling. Moreover, changes will be pretty big, considering the company’s usual approach to mid-cycle updates, which has always been conservative. This time, we will see interesting novelties at the front, such as a completely new front fascia. Furthermore, there are new headlights, which take a lot of inspiration from the all-electric Taycan and feature a flatter and more angular shape. The rear end will also come with novelties, mainly in the form of new taillights, a new tailgate and a re-positioned license plates slot.
Interior
Details about the interior are still unknown. However, we presume that some changes could come and that particularly refers to the dashboard design. The current one looks nice but things are changing pretty fast these days, so we count on a few important updates. One of them is digitalization, so we expect that the new dashboard design will take a lot of inspiration from the Taycan.
On the other hand, the overall cabin layout will remain the same. We are about to see a cabin that offers enough room to comfortably accommodate passengers in both rows of seats. However, the coupe version features a little bit smaller cargo area compared to the standard model.

2023 Porsche Cayenne Engines
The Cayenne has always been known for a wide range of engine options and we presume that the 2023 Porsche Cayenne will continue in the same way. We expect to see the same powertrain offer, though each version could come with a slight power increase.
All in all, the offer should start with a familiar 3.0-liter turbo-six, which puts out around 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. A model called Cayenne S is the next one on offer and it features a smooth 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, which is good for about 434 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.
The V8 offer starts with the Cayenne GTS, which features a 4.0-liter V8 that puts out around 453 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. The Cayenne Turbo uses the same but tuned engine, which features a max output of 541 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque.
The 2023 Porsche Cayenne will continue with two hybrid versions as well. The first one is the Cayenne E-Hybrid, which is based on a V6 engine and puts out around 455 horsepower. On the other hand, the Cayenne Turbo S uses a system that’s based on a V8 engine and puts out a total power of 670 horsepower. That’s the most powerful version of this SUV you can get.

However, that’s not the most capable Cayenne on the offer. There is also a model called Turbo GT, which uses a 4.0-liter V8 tuned to 631 horsepower. However, it comes with significant upgrades like tuned suspension, bigger brakes, lightweight components and similar things that make it faster on a track.
All versions come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.
2023 Porsche Cayenne Release Date and Price
As we already mentioned, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne should arrive sometime in the second half of 2022. The base version should cost around 70.000 dollars, while the most expensive variants could go pretty close to $200.000.
