Audi is still testing the new Q4. But, the most recent photos are unveiling the look of the crossover SUV. The model is very similar to Q3. But, there are still a lot of differences to make it unique. First of all, the 2020 Audi Q4 will be a coupe-SUV. The sloped roofline is making it aggressive and stylish. The front fascia is announcing some details new for the German carmaker. Finally, the renders are showing larger wheels under the arches. This will probably be one of the options, while the entry-level model is getting 16-inches.
Under the hood of the 2020 Audi Q4 will be the same drivetrains as for the Q3. The first edition is probably missing to launch SQ or RS model. However, in future, be sure that performance-oriented crossover SUV is taking the place in the lineup. More similarities between Q3 and Q4 we will find inside the cockpit. The Q3 is still a fresh model, launched in 2018, so it uses a lot of modern features that are still up to date. All in all, the Q4 will be an improved version of its closest sibling.

We saw before the German company turning Q8 to the coupe version of Q7. Now, the similar transformation of Q3 is on the way. However, there are more changes to make this model a part of the independent lineup.
Besides the roofline, the changes take effect on the rear end. Liftgate, bumper, exhaust tips are revisited. The size of the Audi Q4 will be very similar to its stablemate. But, the wheels on the render photos seems to be 19- or 20-inches. These sizes are available at top of the line offers for Q3. So, the base Q4 could use either 16- or 17-inch wheels.
Interior
Due to the lower roof on the rear end, passengers on back seats won’t have too much headroom. The compact crossover is not too generous with space inside, and now the company is cutting the space. Well, that is the major downside of this model. Besides it, everything else belongs to the premium segment. The finest materials are there, top-notch equipment, latest features. Still, the 2020 Audi Q4 will miss some cargo space as well. But, for commuting, this should be enough.
We believe that the Audi Q4 will inherit most of the options from the Q3. The new layout is there for the subcompact crossover. Designers paid extra focus to the connectivity features. It seems like the new Q4 and Q8 will have more options than any other Audi ever. The German company launched remote control features for most models in 2019. Also, the virtual cockpit is taking more and more space to show off. Two trim levels are certain, Premium and Premium Plus. The same models are there for Q3.

2020 Audi Q4 Specs
The 2020 Audi Q4 will use a 2.0-liter engine as the base for every configuration. Besides that, buyers can choose 2WD or Audi’s famous Quattro system. A six-speed Tiptronic transmission is standard, while some trims will add a Sport mode. The engine is capable to produce 200 hp thanks to the turbochargers. Also, buyers can count on 207 lb-ft of torque. The configuration will take 6 seconds to hit 60 mph mark. Top speed of the new Audi Q4 will be 130 mph.
SQ, RS, Hybrid
For now, a 2.0-liter engine is going to be the only option. However, Audi will have to build a performance-oriented version to compete with the BMW M lineup. That means in future we will see either RS or SQ model. Definitely, the 2020 Audi RS Q4 would launch the crossover into the most powerful models in the segment. The output will go above 300 hp and the price would jump significantly. The SQ4 would be a lighter version, but still with significant hp upgrade.
Again, to keep up with competition, Audi will have to think about the hybrid version as well. The Q3 needs it with the BMW launching its iX3. Soon, the Bavarian carmaker will deliver a subcompact model. By then, other companies will have to respond. Among them is Audi. When the Q3 gets this kind of engine, the Q4 will also take advantage of it.

Experts are making the first predictions about the price of the new 2020 Audi Q4. With a tag of $35,000, it would be slightly more expensive than its closest sibling. Well, for the level of upgrades and shredded interior, buyers wouldn’t pay for it too much. Still, the exact pricing list and options will be available next year. The crossover will hit the showrooms in the first quarter. The premiere could happen later this year.
