The current, fifth generation of Chevy’s full-size SUV has been released last year and we are pretty sure that no bigger updates will occur in the following years. Instead, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe, which will represent the third production year of the generation, should come without more important updates. We expect to see a familiar layout, though some sources speculate about the possible high-performance version. At this point, the officials are still quiet on this matter.
Standard models will continue with familiar design characteristics. We are about to see a design that’s mostly about practicality and functionality. This SUV offers plenty of passenger space and an even more impressive cargo area. We also like its powertrain lineup, as well as a pretty generous offer of standard and available equipment. On the other hand, the biggest complaint goes to things like so-so interior quality and a little bit stiffer ride than you would probably expect in this class.
Considering that there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2022.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe will continue in the same way, at least when it comes to the standard model. You may count on a familiar layout, which offers a Silverado-inspired styling, along with a pretty nice chassis setup. We particularly like the fact that independent rear suspension is standard in all variants, which has a pretty nice impact on the overall ride quality.
When it comes to the potential high-performance version, we would expect to see not just a more powerful engine option, but upgrades in other aspects as well. For example, we would expect to see a little bit stiffer suspension and a little bit stiffer brakes. Furthermore, we could see several exclusive styling details, which would accentuate the model’s sporty character.
Interior
We don’t believe that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe could bring any notable update on the inside. The overall layout will remain the same and we count on a familiar dashboard design, which looks quite attractive and features decent overall quality. However, we don’t like that the lower areas of the cabin feature lots of low-rent materials, which is something we usually don’t find in rival models, at least not in such a large portion.

On the other hand, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe will continue to offer tremendous amounts of interior space. The model comes standard with three rows of seats and all three of them accommodate adult passengers with ease. The cargo area is even more impressive. You may count on about 25.5 cubic feet behind the third row, 72.6 cubic feet with those seats folded and 122.9 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s way more than you get from Ford Expedition, which is Tahoe’s biggest rival.
Features
Of course, novelties on the list of standard equipment are always possible but we hardly believe that the 2023 Tahoe could come with too many of them. Most of the things should remain the same as in the current model, which currently comes standard with a 10.2-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth, voice recognition, a six-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and eight USB ports, as well as with goodies like remote start, tri-zone automatic climate control, two household-style power outlets, and proximity keyless entry.
Also, there are numerous options in the offer, starting from tech goodies like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless device charging, navigation, a second-row entertainment system, a nine-speaker Bose sound system, and a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo. Things like a panoramic sunroof, a universal garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are also among the upgrades.
2023 Chevy Tahoe Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, base models will continue with a 5.3-liter V8, which puts out around 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. For those who are looking for something more powerful, there is a bigger 6.2-liter unit, which puts out around 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Finally, there is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel, which is good for 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Besides plenty of torque, this engine also offers pretty impressive fuel economy, which goes around 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
The potential high-performance version would probably feature the LT4 version of the 6.2-liter V8, which powers models like Chevy Camaro and Chevy Corvette. In that case, the max output would probably go around 650 horsepower.
All engine options will continue with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year, with a starting price of around 51.000 dollars.
