2023 Nissan Pathfinder

The well-known SUV from Nissan has just been redesigned. The recent overhaul has brought a lot of significant novelties, starting from a pretty impressive interior quality, new transmission and more attractive exterior design. Considering all the updates and upgrades, we are pretty sure that the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder, which will represent the second production of the generation, will bring no bigger changes. We are about to see a familiar design, as well as features.

You may count on a very good SUV, which has a lot of great things to offer. We like its high-quality interior and a generous amount of space, as well as a long list of standard equipment. Furthermore, driving dynamics are better than before, while the ride is smooth and comfortable. However, we could complain about the price, which is notably higher compared to the previous generation.

Since there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Nissan Pathfinder Redesign

As we are talking about the second production year of the new generation, it makes perfect sense to see no bigger changes. The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will be a typical carryover model, with a familiar design and feature. The recent redesign has brought a lot of novelties. Interestingly, the new model still rides on a familiar D platform. Furthermore, the wheelbase is the same, while other dimensions are marginally different. However, the platform has been upgraded significantly, especially in terms of the ride quality, which is smoother and more comfortable than ever.

The recent redesign has also brought a new styling and the new model looks really attractive. It follows the brand’s latest design language, characterized by the latest iteration of the V-motion grille. Considering the fresh design, we are pretty sure that the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder won’t bring any change, though new color options are always possible.

Interior

The same thing goes for interior design. The recent redesign has brought significant improvements in this aspect. The new model looks pretty impressive from the inside, thanks to modern aesthetics, a long list of tech features and good overall quality. Most of the cabin is wrapped with soft-touch materials, while hard plastics are in lower, less-visible areas. Also, you can notice a lot of attention to detail.

Besides great quality, this cabin is also very practical and functional. It offers, plenty of room for the passengers. Nissan traditionally makes great seats and the new Pathfinder is no exception. The third row isn’t spacious as the first two, but it can be quite useful in many situations.

The cargo area offers around 16.6 cubic feet behind the third row, 45 behind the second and 80.5 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s about average for the segment.

Features

As we are talking about the second production year of the generation, it’s hard to expect bigger changes regarding the standard and available equipment. So, all models should come standard with things like keyless entry, tri-zone climate control, an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, four USB ports, satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. Among upgrades, expect to find things like remote start, panoramic sunroof, a 9-inch touch screen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, two additional USB ports, a 13-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless device charging.

When it comes to safety features, all models should come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high beams etc. The list of options should include a head-up display, road sign recognition, surround-view camera, Nissan’s ProPilot Assist, which includes adaptive cruise control with lane centering, etc.

2023 Nissan Pathfinder Engine

No changes in this aspect will happen either. The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter V6. It puts out 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, which is enough to ensure decent driving dynamics. The engine carried over from the previous generation, but there is a completely new transmission. A 9-speed automatic replaced the uninspiring CVT and we can say that the driving experience is way better than before.

When it comes to fuel economy, you may count on typical ratings for the class. That would be around 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

When properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 6.000 pounds.
