After years of waiting, the Blazer is finally back. Once known as a capable SUV, the new version of this nameplate is rather a crossover. After the recent launch, we are waiting to see if there are any novelties for the second production year to come. The initial model came recently, for the 2019 year. It came as a completely new model, with some brand-new design solutions. Therefore, we don’t count on too many additions for the 2020 Chevy Blazer. Still, we won’t exclude a possibility to see additions such as new engine, more standard features and new trim levels. Some reports suggest even a performance version, though it is still unclear whether this is going to be an on- or off-road performer. In any case, don’t expect any earlier arrivals. The 2020 Chevy Blazer is about to come in a typical time of year, which in this case means late 2019.

2020 Chevy Blazer Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, the 2020 Chevy Blazer will definitely continue in the same way. We are about to see the same technical specifications. First of all, this refers to the platform. This is a typical mid-size crossover, which rides on the company’s familiar C1 platform. For those unfamiliar with this architecture, the same one underprints models like GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5. For this occasion, we didn’t see too many modifications, except a couple of tweaks on suspension and overall chassis setup. It results in improved ride quality, especially on bumpy roads. On the other side, the recent introduction has brought a completely new styling approach, characterized by a design language that will be used for all future crossover from this brand.

2020 Chevy Blazer Styling
As we’ve just mentioned, the new Blazed came with a completely new design. The biggest novelty is a completely new design language, which is about to be used for all future Chevy crossover. The first thing that you’ll notice is a much sharper approach. Unlike boring-looking Equinox and Traverse, this one comes with a real sporty stance. It looks like the company has picked a couple of details from the new Silverado truck and even more from the famous Camaro pony car.
Finally, the Blazer came with a fine portion of its own, distinctive details. It all resulted in a pretty attractive styling, which is definitely one of the most interesting in the class. Considering all the novelties and that the recent introduction has brought a completely new design language, we have no doubt that the 2020 Chevy Blazer will continue in the same way, without any notable change. The best we can get is a couple of new color options.

2020 Chevy Blazer Interior
Once again, don’t count on too many novelties. The 2020 Chevy Blazer will continue with a familiar interior layout, which is characterized by a pretty good-looking dashboard. Unlike some previous Chevy crossover, this one features a dash that is more focused on the driver. A large touchscreen dominates the center stack, while round air vents give a dose of sportiness. Also, you will notice a pretty massive center console, especially in the armrest area, which clearly separates driver and passenger areas.
Another strong point of this crossover is a long list of standard equipment. Since it is a completely new model that came just recently, it’s no wonder that even the most basic version features things like xenon headlights, keyless ignition, and entry, a rearview camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control etc. Also, there are tech goodies like an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, four USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot etc.
Of course, things are getting better and better as you choose higher trim levels. Eventually, you can get things like leather upholstery, heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and many more.

2020 Chevy Blazer Engines
The current model comes with two familiar engines in the offer. Base models feature a 2.5-liter engine which is good for about 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. An optional V6 seems like a much better choice. It is a familiar 3.6-liter unit that delivers around 305 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a new 9-speed automatic transmission.
For the next year, there is a big chance to see the company’s new turbo-four engine in the offer. It is a 2.7-liter inline-four engine that delivers around 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
2020 Chevy Blazer Release Date and Pric
Despite potential novelties under the hood, we are pretty sure that the 2020 Chevy Blazer will come in a usual time of a year. In this case, that would mean sometime in late 2019. When it comes to the price, base models will go around 29.000 dollars.
